Sav-Mor Discounts

by wastepicking -- 8/11/2011 16:41:52
The Sav-Mor redemption center is connected to the Sav-Mor liquor store.  Consequently, many of the people who use the center, come to get alcohol as well.  The redemption center is made up of six (6) TOMRA machines that only take the cans/bottles of the brands that are sold in the store.  The machines read the bar codes of the cans/bottles, so the cans/bottles need to be in decent shape.  Since the machines have been there (July 2010) over 2.5 million cans, 1.5 million glass bottles and 500,000 plastic bottles have been processed.

The redemption center is open from 9AM to 9PM on weekdays 9AM to 10PM on Saturdays and 12PM to 6PM on Sundays.  While we were there, we did not observe many people although we were told that more people come on the weekends.... [Extend]
